What Batch is
Batch is software: hosted storefronts, order and payment tools, and marketing features for home food businesses. Each shop on usebatch.shop is owned and operated by its merchant โ not by Batch. When you buy from a shop, your purchase contract is with that merchant.
Merchant responsibilities
Merchants are responsible for their products and their business: food safety and licensing (including cottage-food rules), accurate listings and pricing, fulfilling orders, collecting and remitting any applicable taxes, and complying with the laws that apply to them. Payments are processed through the merchant's own Stripe account (or arranged directly with the merchant) โ refunds, disputes, and chargebacks sit with the merchant.
Acceptable use
No unlawful content or commerce, no misrepresentation, no abuse of other users or of the platform (including attempts to circumvent rate limits or security controls). We may suspend shops that put customers or the platform at risk.
Your account
Keep your credentials to yourself and tell us promptly about any unauthorized use. You can close your shop at any time; our Privacy Policy describes what happens to data when you do.
Service, warranty, liability
Batch is provided โas isโ, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent the law allows, Batch's total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (during the free period: $0). We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the acts of merchants or shoppers.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with a new date. We may suspend or end the service for abuse, legal risk, or discontinuation โ with reasonable notice where practicable.
